As an event organiser i think it is very helpful to consider the following social networks tools when organising an event:
- Facebook- by creating a Facebook page for your event where you can post updates about the event
- Twitter- by tweeting before the event and during the event to inform those who did not attend the event about what is happening in the event.
- Blog- by posting event updates and uploading pictures and videos.
- Myspace- by creating your own events and add events to send them to your friends.
- Linkedin- by using Linkedin Event Application, this will enable you as an event organiser to share your events on this application.read more
Using social networks for organising events will help you as an event organiser to keep in touch with all the attendees and stay connected to you through the use of social networks. For me social networks can be regarded as the top event planning tools.
Uisng social media for event should not be the 1st priority for events companies becasue not all of us like social media and people still prefer to see ad and posters around the streets.
ReplyDeleteNowadays we rely on social networks to get our messages conveyed to our stakeholders. The only advantage is that you reach a large number of stakeholders faster. The moment you press a publish button is the moment you reach thousands of stakeholders.

ReplyDeleteTechnology has reall ytaken over. social networks have made our lives a bit easier because now imagine that we dont need to make endless and costly calls when organising events. but we must not forget that some people still prefer theold way of doing things like posters.
