Gaga's Highest Fraudulent Twitter Followers

Lady Gaga
Pop singer Lady Gaga becomes first public figure with highest followers on twitter. She made social networking history in the world by reaching a plenty of followers on twitter. She  reached more than 20 million followers on Twitter. This shows that her twitter account has been recognised by many people in the world. Even though there are people using fraudulent  accounts using her name on twitter .read more
But the reports claim that there are many people who are faking Lady Gaga's twitter account. People who claim to be lady Gaga have more followers than the real Lady Gaga. And this is causing confusion because we are not sure weather is a real Lady Gaga who has the highest twitter followers or is the fake one who has more followers. According to social media management Status People Company discovered that up to 72 percent of Gaga's 29 million Twitter followers are considered fake or inactive. In Lady Gaga's case, it looks as if 34 percent of her followers are "fake," 38 percent are "inactive" and only 28 percent are considered "good". Even though many people are misusing her Twitter account but her name still appears as the first public figure with highest followers on twitter.

Promoting Your Business Through Social Networks.

Social media for business

Using Social media is the cheapest way to promote your business and keep customers chatting about your business. Here are some quick and easy tips for using some of the most popular social networking sites — Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google+, and LinkedIn — to help you promoting your business.

Facebook
Set up a business page on Facebook and post special offers to all those who Like your page. And frequently ask questions to your customers about what they like and dislike about your company’s offerings.

Twitter
Use Twitter to tweet interesting things about your business or products and provide a link to that product page on your site. Send out short tips via Twitter on how to use your services or products.

YouTube
Create a YouTube channel for your online business and regularly add fun and useful videos and then encourage customers to view and share your videos with others.
Launch a video contest: Ask customers to create short videos of how they use your product or service.

LinkedIn
Create a LinkedIn profile and add links to your website; update your profile with new links, product reviews, books, or articles that you're reading, or other information so that this information appears to all the people in your network. And make sure that you join LinkedIn groups that may be popular with many of your customers and frequently post questions or comments related to the products or services you offer

Google+
Create circles in your personal Google+ profile that are set up specifically for your customers, your vendors, and others interested in your brand.
Post interesting content to your customers and other business-related circles and encourage feedback or comments on the content.

Considering these kinds of social networks to promote your business will also help your company to save money because promotion through social networks is very cheap. read more

Using Social Networks For Organising Events

Social Networks
Organising events using social networks can be one of our advantage to make an event to be successful. Using social networks to organise events can be a great experience for both event organisers and the attendees. What is interesting most about organising events using social networks is that you can reach your stakeholders faster and at the same time. Social networks improved our ways of organising events, unlike in the olden days where many people were  relying most on using invitation cards when they invite people to attend their events. This doesn't mean that people are no longer using invitation cards, some they are still using them but i think the easiest way is to adapt the use of social networks when organising events. The use of social networks can help event organisers to reach many people as possible.

As an event organiser i think it is very helpful to consider the following social networks tools when organising an event:
  • Facebook- by creating a Facebook page for your event where you can post  updates about the event
  • Twitter- by tweeting before the event and during the event to inform those who did not attend the    event about what is happening in the event.
  • Blog- by  posting event updates and uploading pictures and videos.
  • Myspace- by creating your own events and add events to send them to your friends.
  • Linkedin- by using Linkedin Event Application, this will enable you as an event organiser to share your events on this application.read more

Using social networks for organising events will help you as an event organiser to keep in touch with all the attendees and stay connected to you through the use of social networks. For me social networks can be regarded as the top event planning tools.

One of the first rules most of us we should learn is to avoid offensive posts; this may include posts such as insults, violence posts, badmouthing other people on Facebook. Posting such things on Facebook may ruin your reputation because of posting things that are not allowed to be posted on Facebook. As a result, your reputatition will be ruined and there will be no company that will employ you because of illegal stuff you are posting on Facebook.

Posting naked pictures on Facebook is highly unacceptable but some people are still posting them. Lets manage our reputation by staying away from publishing illegal posts on Facebook. And don't forget that Facebook is automatically publishing posts under your name and make sure that whatever you post on Facebook represent yourself in a positive way.

The use of Social Networks in the Workplace

Organisations need to consider the use of social networks as their communication tools

Picture obove: An employer teaching the employees regarding the use of
                          social networks.source:www.socialmediawork.com

In today's world it is really impotant for companies to adapt the use of social networks as their communication tools. Contemporary companies are adopting the use of social networks as their communication tools to communicate with their stakeholders. Organizations that haven't adopted such tools are now in the minority "One of the reasons why employers and workers are using social networks in the workplace is, in large part, because these channels are increasingly becoming a routine part of how work gets done. There are many advantages to being socially "connected" in the workplace.

Well-connected employees are more productive and social networks can help to increase the productivity by which they connect and collaborate. Being connected and collaborating with stakeholders can be done through the use of social networks by communicating with them. Organisations  use social networks to keep up their stakeholders with company events, recruit talent and gain a deeper understanding of their stakeholders. This shows that social networks are very important to be considered in every organisation because a company can improve  its communication effectiveness through the use of social networks. It is also important for companies to teach their employees regarding the use of social networks. Teaching employees regarding the use of social networks is the duty of Public Relations practitioner.read more

Using social networks inappropriately could threaten your reputation. Don't forget that whatever you post on social networks it will be delivered to many people around the world and it also representing your reputation. If you are using social networks negatively you will be considered inappropriate and unethical and this will create a bad reputation about yourself. In order to use social networks effectively there are some guidelines that you need to bear in mind by considering the following:

SOCIAL NETWORKS HELP THE MUSICIANS

The significance of using social networks by musicians

Picture above: Popular kind of social networks   that are used
                          by musicians. source from :www.google.com

The communication between musicians and their fans has changed due to the power of social networks. The power of social networks in the music industries help the musicians to communicate with their fans. Communication in the music industries has improved due to the power of using social networks because musicians and their fans are now communicating with one another. Musicians are now reaching their fans in more effective way than ever before; some musicians are using social networks to build relationships with their fans. Social Networks also help the musicians  to be able to recognise their fans and followers.

The emergence of social networks brought changes in the lives of many people, particularly the musicians because they can now launch their latest albums via social networks.   Musicians are now able to share their albums on the social networks in order to inform their fans regarding their latest albums. Sharing your album with your fans on the social networks is another way of marketing yourself because your fans will be informed and be able to view and listen to your tracks before they can buy your album. read more

There are many more social networking sites and tools that can help you to succeed in the music industry such as the following
  •   FACEBOOK
  •  TWITTER
  • MY SPACE
  • YOU TUBE and many more

Social networks that I have mentioned above are the most well regarded social network tools that are helpful in the music industries used by musicians in order to communicate with their fans. What made me realize that social networks are important in the music industries is that you can keep your followers and fans updated and can also help musicians to be able to recognize and measure the number of their fans. My question is that, are social networks really important to be used by musician?

WHY HIP HOP ARTISTS ON THE JAZZ FESTIVAL?

HIP HOP ARTISTS  ON THE JAZZ FESTIVAL

The international Jazz festival was held for two days at the Cape Town international Convention Centre on March 30 and 31 2012.This festival was meant for international Jazz artists to perform in South Africa in order to express their talents on how to play Jazz .This year's Jazz festival was totally different with the previous festivals because HIP HOP artists was included on the Jazz festival. This year’s Jazz Festival was mixed with  HIP HOP because there were various   HIP HOP artists who performed during the festival. There were various HIP HOP artists who performed such as:
·         HHP (HIP HOP PANTSULA),
·         Jean Grae
·         Skillz
·         Atmosphere and
·         Pharoahe Monch

HHP
king of hip hop: HHP(HIP HOP PANTSULA)
There were also other various South African artists who performed during the festival. And some of  those artists are not Jazz artists but they also took part. Those artists who participated on the festival   are including artists ,such as Zahara,Unathi and many more.read more
The festival went well because and it was just a joyous occasion that will never be forgotten by South African citizens and those international people who have been there during the festival. This festival it was just a joyous occasion for everyone who had been there but a question came into my mind where i was asking my self why HIP HOP artists to perform on the Jazz festival?.I think the organiser of this Festival caused a confusion by mixing HIP HOP artists with Jazz artists on the Jazz festival because this festival was meant for Jazz artists.

"BLACKS ARE FOOLS" IS THIS A CONTROVERSIAL SONG?

THE PUBLIC SAYS THAT A NEW SONG BY SLIKOUR SEEMS TO BE CONTROVERSIAL TO BLACKS

This picture taken from:https: (http://www.google.slikourvantilation/)

A new song by a South African Hip Hop artist Slikour called "Blacks are fools" which led him to receive bad comments from the public.Slikour who recently released a new song called "Blacks are fools" has offered apology to black people who think that his new song is offending them.Majority of black people are not satisfied with the messages they receive on a new song by Slikour.Majority of black people are not satisfied with this song because they regard it as controversial towards them.Slikour on his new song rhymes written that:
"Blacks are fools they just wanna be fresh and they wanna be cool, give them             little money they think they rule".read more.

Guilty face:Slikour after his apology by his new song
This picture taken from:(http://www.sundayworld.co.za/)
Slikour after releasing this song he received calls for anonymous people threatening to kill him. This shows that other people regard this song as disrespecting blacks and are not happy of that because they are busy threatening him through cellphone calls. The people who commented on Slikour's new song "Blacks are fools" are complaining about this song because they feel that it is putting black people's perceptions in an appalling manner.Slikour claims that those people who think that his new song is offending them they have misunderstood the messages.Slikour said that he wrote this song based on what white people say about blacks. He says that "blacks we are lazy, that is why foreigners take our jobs".Slikour told Sunday world that he was not intended to hurt black people on his new song. He also apologised to those he offended them.Slikour is now promising the people that he swallowed his words and also apologised to those who threatened to kill him.

I think this new song by Slikour will never get support from the public because it is regarded as controversinal to blacks.AZAPO president Jacob Dikobo also aired his views about this new song by Slikour.Jacob Dikobo said that he is encouraging people not to buy that song and radio stations to ban it.for more information:read more

JUB JUB: ARE DRUGS RUINED HIS CAREER?

Bad reputation due to drugs and alcohol

Picture above: Jub Jub's car after crash in Protea  in Soweto
South African hip hop musician Jub Jub his real name is Molemo Maarohanye facing charges of murder and attempted murder and driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.Jub Jub is one of the well known South African hip hop artist who recently get involved in a car accident which killed  four innocent school children on their way back from school. Jub Jub and his friend Themba Tshabalala were allegedly drag-racing when their cars ploughed into a group of school children. This incident happened in Protea North in Soweto on 8 March 2010.Jub and his friend Themba were found guilty for drag-racing on public road driving while they are drunk. They were also found guilty for using drugs and drive while drinking .The evidence that they used drugs were found in their urine samples.Their urine sample conducted by  forensic analyst Van Rooyen reportedly contained the following kind of drugs:
  •   Cocaine
  • Codeine
  • Benzoyl codeine
  • Nicotine
  •  Paracetamol

I think drugs ruined his reputation and his music career because people are now calling him a murder.Jub Jub faces charges of murder and attempted murder and driving while drunk and using drugs.Jub Jub since after the accident he is no longer doing well in music because many people want his music to be cancelled after what he did.Jub Jub had never release any album since after the accident.I think if it was not about drugs which ruined his reputation,Jub Jub would be far in his music career. The most important thing especially if you are a celebrity is a good reputation, if you have a bad reputation this will negatively affect your career. read more

MZANSI HIP HOP STILL STRUGGLING TO GET ENOUGH SALE

Insufficient sales and Lack of support from local and international people

(Image:http://myafrica.allafrica.com/)

Msansi hip hop is one of the South African music which is still struggling to get enough sales.Insufficient sales towards Mzansi hip hop is due to lack of support from their local people as well as international people. The reason why hip hop artists not getting enough sales is that majority of people in South Africa prefer international Hip Hop than Mzansi hip hop.You may find that many people in South Africa are buying original Cd's from international hip hop artists, but they fail to buy original Cd's from their local artists.Another issue is that there are only few people around the world who are familiar with Mzansi hip hop, that is the main reason why Mzansi hip hop is unfamiliar on other people around the world. This shows that Mzansi hip hop artists are not able to grow enough sales due to lack of support from their local people as well as international people.

For me i think it will be effective if people in South Africa can give more support to their local artists than international artists.Again it will be more effective if South African artists can rap only in English because many people all over the world will be able to get the meaning of their messages.Rapping in different South African languages will not take Mzansi hip hop abroad because other people around the world will not be able to translate their meaning of their messages. If your massages are not understandable because of the language that you are using people around the world will never get attracted by your music and this will lead to insufficient sales and support from the people.Lack of sales also putting South African Hip Hop artists in a bad perception. This issue  needs Public Relations efforts to put them in a good perception by encouraging South Africans to support their local artists in order to grow their sales. What are other ways that can help Mzansi hip hop artists to get enough sales?read more

Is Kwaito South African Hip Hop?

The differences between Kwaito and South African Hip Hop

image:(http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images)

Many people think that Kwaito and South African Hip Hop are the same. Why many people regard
Kwaito and Hip hop as the same music?.Kwaito is the first South African favourite music because it has been recognised since from a long time ago.South African Hip Hop has been recognised few years ago.Hip Hop music is the contemporary music in South Africa. The are many differences that separate Kwaito and South African Hip hop.The differences are as follows:

  • Kwaito is mostly played in Townships whereas Hip Hop mostly played in Suburb.
  • Kwaito dance includes Pantsula dance whereas Hip Hop dance include styles such as breaking, locking, and popping.
  • Kwaito includes township
  • tsotsitaal(gangster slang) whereas Hip Hop include rap and rhythmic styles.
The differences between kwaito and South African hip hop mentioned above is that both have their own cultures and using different styles. Many people are still arguing that kwaito and South African hip hop are the same.If Kwaito and South African Hip Hop are the same why their styles are different?

ARE MZANSI HIP HOP ARTISTS NOT GETTING ENOUGH SUPPORT?

Lack of fans and support from the media

South African hip hop is one of the music industry facing challenges due to lack of support from the media and lack of fans. There are many Mzansi (South Africa) hip hop artists who are performing well but are not getting enough support from the media. Lack of fans also  another issue facing South African Hip Hop.Is been a long time South African hip hop struggling to find enough support but still getting lack of support. This issue of lack of support emerge since from the beginning of South African Hip Hop. The problem in the media is that they frequently play American Hip Hop music than South African Hip Hop music.Another issue due to lack of fans is that South African hip hop artists are rapping in different languages. This cause confusion on other people who are unfamiliar with African languages. There are many South African talented artists who are rapping in different languages, including rappers like:
     <>
    .

  • TUKS-is one of the South African hip hop artist who rap in different languages, such as Tswana,Sotho,Zulu and English
  • HHP-he raps in Tswana,Sotho and English
  • Pro-He is well known rapping in Zulu and English
These artists i have mentioned above are doing well in their music industries but are not inspired by the media. It is effective for the South African media to support Mzansi hip hop than American hip hop.It is good to be proud of your country music before you can become proud of global music. Some people suggest that it will be more effective if South African Hip Hop artists can rap in English,so that many people around the world will be able to understand their music. This will be an advantage for them to sell their music worldwide because English is recognised almost all over the world. The are many people in South Africa who love American Hip Hop than Mzansi hip hop. This shows that South African hip hop cannot get enough fans because many people in South Africa are more interested in American hip hop music. Why Mzansi hip hop artists not getting enough support?

PIRACY TOWARDS SOUTH AFRICAN HIP HOP MUSIC(MZANSI HIP HOP)

How could we reduce piracy in South African hip hop music?
Piracy has a huge effect on South African music, particularly hip hop music.Piracy has a huge history almost everywhere in the world. It has a long history where people in the previous years were using cassette,LP record and followed by Cd's(Compact Disk)and Flash Drives. Many people are no longer buying original Cd's because they relying on copyright Cd's which cause piracy.South African hip hop is no longer growing because of piracy.South African hip hop has many talented artists and many new comers who are expecting to get enough sales, but they failed to obtain sufficient sales because of piracy.Hip hop artist record companies in South Africa loose an estimated R500 million each year to piracy.HHP(HIP HOP PANTULA),Tuks,Teagas and new comers like Tumi,L'Tido and Morale are some of the most pirated artists in South Africa. Some of the people say that piracy will exist forever on the music industries because people are buying fake Cd's. The worst part about piracy based on music is that people are buying fake Cd's which cost them less amount, for instance,R10 Cd's instead of buying the original Cd's which will cost them a reasonable amount.I'm also agree that piracy will exist forever unless if people can stop being stingy to buy original Cd's.As an South African music fan what are you saying regarding this issue of piracy?
