  1. kwaito and hip hop are more or less the same, because the message may be the same but tunes and rhythem, and their ultimate goal when they deliver music is to build relationships with the public.

  2. they might be the same in a way that they are both aimed at entertaaining people and sending out messages in a way of singing.there is also slight differences between the two as they are listened to by different people who have different styles.and ofcourse their aim is to build an image for their genre/category.

  3. when listening to the two Genres, they deliver the same message.when you look at todays kwaito its way different from the orignal kwaito of back in the ninties, the two complement one another there is no longer that element that sets them apart. for instance when you listen to lyrics by zola and compare them to that of a.k.a they both sing about getting out of the hood and improving their lives and how they actually did that. so for me as a music fan I personally feel that the only difference between the two genres is their names(hip hop and kwaito).
